Mark Higgins
Mark Higgins is a seasoned clean energy executive with decades of experience growing technologies, companies, and project portfolios across North America, Australasia, and the Pacific Rim. He has served as Chair of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee, and as a board member or advisor to organizations including the California and Australian Energy Storage Alliances and the Vehicle-Grid Integration Council. He currently serves on the board of TheBreak.energy and mentors numerous cleantech startups through programs such as Cleantech Open, Energy Lab Australia, WaveMaker Labs, UC San Diego’s Blackstone Launchpad, and Village Capital’s Dream Climate Tech Launchpad.
Mark’s executive leadership includes roles as CEO of Mana Pacific, where he advanced renewable microgrids in Pacific island communities, and as Chief Commercial Officer and President of North America at Redflow, where he expanded the company’s project pipeline more than thirtyfold. He co-founded Resilient Earth Ventures and previously served as COO and board member at Strategen, helping expand its global consulting business. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at PG&E, SunEdison, Fotowatio, and MMA Renewable Ventures, and has deep roots in venture capital and investment banking, having raised over $125 million in equity financing. Mark holds a Master’s in Pacific International Affairs from UC San Diego and a Bachelor’s in Government from the University of Notre Dame.
