
Christopher Rae
Christopher Rae is Principal Worldwide Security Go-to-Market Specialist for Amazon Web Services. He is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies that accelerate AWS cloud adoption by focusing on protecting customers against hackers, malware, and other critical cybersecurity threats globally at scale.
He previously held Director, VP, and SVP-level roles in Global Operations, Sales & Business Development in Asia-Pacific, and Global Strategic Partnerships at Verimatrix, a content security company that protects movies and television from piracy. As a core member of the early-stage startup in 2005, he built and scaled the company’s operations from less than $1M in annual revenue to become a global leader driving over $100M in annual revenue before being acquired in 2019.
Earlier in his career, he led Professional Services at Entriq (acquired by Irdeto) where he advised major brands such as NBC Universal, MTV Networks, Viacom, Canal+, DreamWorks, Major League Baseball, WWE, International Olympics Committee, Tencent, and Prince's New Power Generation Music Club to integrate, secure, monetize, and launch high-traffic streaming media services. He developed software and web services for NaviSite Streaming Media (acquired by Akamai), CMGI's entertainment portal iCAST.com (now MySpace), and co-founded ClearKey Solutions, an early SaaS-based digital rights management (DRM) and e-commerce platform.
Christopher earned his MBA in Technology Commercialization from University of California, San Diego’s Rady School of Management, and a BA in Journalism & Mass Communications from the University of Maine.
He serves as an angel investor and advisor to tech and media startups.
