Christopher Rae serves as Principal, Worldwide Security Specialist at Amazon Web Services (AWS), leading global go-to-market (GTM) strategies driving adoption of AWS security best practices across AI/ML, IoT, and other emerging technologies. Previously at Verimatrix, a digital media security firm for media & entertainment and telecommunications, he served in executive leadership roles as SVP of Global Operations, and SVP of Sales and Business Development for Asia/Pacific. During his tenure, he helped scale the company from less than $1M to a $140M+ exit. He co-founded an early SaaS security startup, holds two patents in digital media security, and is a frequent speaker and author on cybersecurity and digital media trends. Christopher earned his MBA from UC San Diego's Rady School of Management and his BA from the University of Maine. He enjoys epicurean travel, sailing, skiing, hockey, discovering new music, and advising early-stage startups.
